The library provides free cardsto residents within the city limits. You will need to fill out a registration card and bring in acceptable ID and proof of residency. (EX: Drivers License, recent bill or a bank statement with current address). All family members and residents sharing the same address will have their cards associated. If any cards are blocked within that association with fees/fines in excess of $5.00, no other cards may be used in the household until the charges are taken care of.
Non-residents who live outside Pana city limits may obtain a library card for the current yearly fee of $60.00. This fee covers everyone who lives in your household.
Valid cards from Carnegie Schuyler Library that have no blocks may be used at any other library that is a member of the Illinois Heartland Library System. Patrons may also order items from other libraries.
Need to keep your materials longer? Items may be renewed by calling the library at 217-562-2326 or login to your account online to renew the item(s).
Book Sale –The library has books for sale in the lower level. Feel free to browse the titles. After making your selections please pay the librarian at the checkout desk upstairs. All proceeds benefit the library. Thank you!
Book Donations – We always welcome used paperback books in good condition. Any adult hardcover books must be published within the last three years.
Yearbooks – from Pana High School, dating back to 1911, are available for viewing at the library.
www.ilbph.org -Talking books and braille service is available.
Computer Usage -There are 3 public computers available for patrons to access. Patrons need to come to the circulation desk and request a computer.
Free WiFi -Patrons may bring their own tablets, smartphones, or laptops to use the library’s free WiFi during Library hours.
Laminating – Regular size paper is available for laminating at $1.00 per page.

$.20 per sheet for black and white
$1.00 per sheet for color
Fax– services are available at the rate of $1.00 per page to send or receive inside of the U.S. You will receive a confirmation sheet when your fax is sent which is an additional $1.00. Our fax number is 217-562-2343.
Meeting Room -The library has a Meeting Room on our lower level. This room is available for community non-profit use. This room can also be used as a Quiet Study Room. You can call the library at 217-562-2326 to reserve the meeting room.
Exam Proctoring– Anyone may apply for examination proctoring. Exams are proctored by library staff during regular Library hours Monday through Friday. It is the test taker’s responsibility to contact the agencies or institutions to provide the exam materials. All exams must be completed at least 30 minutes before closing.
